Don't work for me

I've really tried with these in my alpine ski boots and finally given up. The pain in the ball of my left foot is excruciating and stops me skiing. I've tried all the fitting and break in suggestions on the aline website, but to no avail. for reference, I'm male, 40s, expert skier, never had problems before with standard or fully custom footbeds. I have fairly average arch and instep, D/E width, and generally have no problems with shoes. I do have a slight, occasional Neuroma in that foot. I use conformable custom beds in my old downhill boots and in my AT boots.
For me, the aline's are going in the trash, before I give up skiing instead However, I do recognize that they do seem to work well for many (and they are ok on one of my feet!), and the science seems robust, so I give them 3 stars despite my experience.
My conclusion is that for some folks these footbeds do not work, and it's not be a slight degree. Be very diligent in trying them before skiing and take your old footbeds with you first time out just in case.

If you have pain in the ball of your feet than you might the wrong size. When sized properly the arch supports your arch and the ball of your foot is in the window.
