Going soft

By Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete Ranked #128 - Men's Softshell Jackets January 6, 2010

This jacket has changed my layering system for the better. I thought hardshell was the way, but I've changed my mind since touring with the Dragon over the past month. This jacket "breathes" so much better and vents well that I can keep it on almost all day with just a light baselayer. Now I just carry the Dragon and a light down jacket for touring in the Wasatch Mountains. Seems like it will stand up to wear and tear better since it has some give to the fabric.

I have one too. I feel the same. It is an incredibly nice feeling fabric and the hood is caverness, the hobo sleeves (thank God, I don't have to cut thumbholes in this jacket!) are perfect, wicked awesome all around pitzips even!!
