I love mine !

I just got back from using my Outfitter on a New Years Week Trip. The first river I paddled was the Lower Tellico a Class 2-3 River in Tn. It performed MUCH better than my older IK ( Tomcat Solo ). The Outfitter was, as advertised, a lot more stable and manuverable than my old entry level IK. It went over rocks with ease not hannging up and handled wonderfully. The next day on Talking Rock Creek, Ga which is a Class 2 float trip the Outfiiter again came thru great, tracking straight on the slow parts and allowing me to serf the class 2 stuff with much more confidence. I used it the next day on the Cartacay River in Ga which is Class 2-3. The Cartacay has some bigger features than the previous day's adventure and thanks to the Outfitters Rocker it plowed thru the waves with ease. I was really impressed with it's handling on S-Turn Rapid. The last river I used the Outfitter on was Amicola Creek which is also a Class 2-3 river in Ga. The Outfitters stability was MUCH appreciated since the air temp was 25 degrees at the put in. The only problem that almost occured was at the last rapid which is Class 2+ and a known problem for sit on top kayak's. As the outfitter went over the pourover the right tube started to get sucked under but a quick brace righted the IK and I actually got to serf the rapid ! This is a Great Kayak for larger folk. I am 6 foot 3 inches and 270 Pounds so the extra width in the boat really is nice. SYOTR
