This is really spacious but I feel like it might be tight for 4 people. It did a good job when dumped on with snow, but it made the walls cave in a bit and really reduced the amount of room inside. The reason it gets a 4 is because you have to seam seal it, I just think thats lame these days.

Why can't you blame the manufacturer. They can just do what they are asking you to do before they sell it, no?

Can't really blame the manufacturer here. No silnylon gear is seam-taped (to my knowledge). Traditional seam tapes just won't stick. You've got to use the goo. That's the price you pay for the silnylon weight savings.
