Ranked #396 - Men's 3-in-1 Jackets
December 30, 2009
I got this for my boyfriend, who spends a lot of time kayaking in California, but also a great deal of time in the mountains in Colorado. He said the inner soft shell is great for wearing around town in Cali and it also very water resistant for kayaking. On the warmer winter days in Colorado, he leaves the softshell in, but when it gets really cold (around zero) he takes the soft shell out and zips in a North Face fleece. That is one of our favorite feature of Northface! I have this jacket and zip in a down layer when I want to make it warmer. It's so nice that you can mix and match north face products as long as they are the same size (and made after 2000 - if made before then, the zippers will be different).
