Nice, but pick their crew shirt and save $20

By Ranked #82 - Men's Lightweight Long Underwear - Tops December 28, 2009

This shirt is nice, but I just don't see how it is worth $20 more than the Stoic merino crew shirt. In fact, because the fabric is super-lightweight, I think the zippers make this feel less durable than the crew shirt. At the moment, I have one of each (crew, bliss), but on future purchases I'll save the $20 and just go with the crew.

i also have both shirts. i think the zippers are worth the price for the extra flexibility. being able to to dump a bunch of heat in the middle of a pitch is pretty important, and you can zip back up when you are anchored and on belay. can't do that with a crew neck.

You have a really good point! Picked up my Merino Bliss from SAC so I'm to bummed about the cost savings. The extra zipper is really nice for dumping heat. Even thought the fabric is thin its a good insulator so unzipping helps. Also, the little chest pocket is a nice touch, but as Eric points out, not worth 20 extra bones.
