here it is folks, your basic but oh-so-awesome down vest. whether over a hoodie or under a shell, this thing is warm & stylish every time. 2 front zip pockets with storm flaps (which can get caught on door handles & such, watch out) and 1 inner vertical zip that doubles as a compression pouch (I wouldn't recommend long-term storage, it's pretty packed in there), plus an "emergency" (read: thin, just a layer of fabric with a basic brim, no down) adjustable hood and drawcord hem on the sides. the shoulder fabric is also a bit tougher for pack straps, front zipper is plastic and sides are metal. this is the vest you will be handing down to your kids in 20 years, if you can stand to give it up.
