Work Great in Cold Weather!!

Ranked #455 - Men's Mountaineering Boots

I have a low volume foot so the cable adjustment system works fine for me. I can tighten down the boots so I don't get heal lift, and when the front tightens down as well, it doesn't impact my narrow, low volume foot. My concern was whether they would work for winter mountaineering day trips in CO. So far I've been pleased and had warm feet on two separate trips. The first trip had air temps around 5F and a windchill of -35F. This was all above 12000ft so these boots work well for snow climbing and short approaches. I like the cable adjustment system since it doesn't loosen up over time like laces and you don't have to spend much time dialing in the fit, which is good when you're exposing your hands to subzero windchill.
