Ranked #167 - Trekking Poles

Cant say enough about trekking poles and their importance to a proper hike... Trekking poles are leg savers!
-I prefer these poles over the BD Expedition poles, and any other company's poles for a few reasons. They have a better grip for traversing slopes. They are 3 ounces lighter! And the bottom piece of the pole stays locked in place, the expeditions have a bit of play when on the pack. If you ever plan to get a BD Whippet pole, you can use the 2 lower sections from this pole to make a 3-Piece whippet pole... All you have to do is cut the top section of the whippet down about 4 to 5 inches, cut notch and install flicklock, and slide these baby's in! These poles are sick!
