The North Face Thunder Down Jacket - Women's

Item #TNF4378 | 0 in Stock
3 Star Rating

Loosing feather

By Ranked #63 - Women's Down Jackets December 6, 2009

Mine is from last year's stock and it is loosing feathers each time after wearing it. I am very disappointed with the quality of the jacket considering the price I paid for it. Perhaps, the NF improved the quality of this year's version.

Agreed. Eddie Bauer actually puts a little card with their version of the down sweater that says don't pull feathers out, push them back in and work the fabric to close the hole. It does work. Down will work its way through any fabric so don't worry about it. There are plenty of feathers in there!

I do have one place in the back seam that I pulled a feather from that just kept on coming and coming and coming! But, I carefully stopped and wiggled the outer fabric of the jacket around to help the edge of the feathers to go back into the jacket. I truly think it just comes with the teritory...to be this warm AND lightweight they had to give up the lining! I still LOVE mine. Remember to use a tennis ball in the dryer when you dry it to help it fluff up.
