Finally feel like I've put in enough turns with the new Gotamas to leave a thoughtful review. I am so stoked on these skis. For the last couple years, I've been looking for a versatile ski around 100 mm wide. This is it. I can rip tight GS turns on hardpack without compromising stability in crud or powder conditions.

The rocker is fairly gradual and allows the ski to stay on top of new snow. It also makes crud or choppy powder a breeze since the tip is raised and there's no worries on them diving under. The thing that stands out about the Gotamas is the stability. I can lean into the front of my boot and confidently power through anything - crud, chunks of ice, chopped pow, anything.

I'll rock these 75% of the time at my home mountain, Vail. If I want to go for a lap in East Vail, no problem. I have a pair of K2 Hellbents and Rossi S3s, but wouldn't hesitate using the Gotamas as a one-quiver ski.

I have my skis mounted at boot center (0). I don't have any problems with the tails washing out. The tails are playful, i.e. soft, so don't dispute it being an issue for some. I see it more of an asset for popping into switch or jibbing.
