I picked up a pair of last years model at a ski swap and have managed to put a week's worth of skiing into them, including 2 weekends of race camp at Copper Mt. I have ridiculous feet so full-race boots are not an option but these do just fine with no shin bang and plenty of stiffness, even at 6'4 & 220+ lbs. Definitely reccommended, especially if you have a high instep like me.
