These shoes seem to have everything I want - they look great, are light and have great traction as well as being waterproof but they just don't seem to quite pull it off. When fitting them, I'd look to go for a half size bigger than you might normally. Beyond that though, the goretex liner is stitched together with a zig zag pattern right where the heel is and this serves as a very effective grater of the skin on the back of your heel. Not much chop if you can't hike any distance with them.
