Perfect optical clarity, wonderful color enhancements, and a stylish design. I chose these sunglasses (2 pairs) for an upcoming expedition to Antarctica, and believe they will work perfectly. In the meantime, the sunglasses are ideal for life on the beach, kayaking and strutting through the city. Although the description of the sunglasses states that they do not have nose pads, they do. Medium to Large face is accurate. The "Hammerhead" name could describe the slight, square-like shape, as the sunglasses slightly divert from the rounded contour around the face. Although a good looking choice, I worry about the potential sun/wind exposure in the Southern Ocean winter. I would certainly recommend the Hammerhead sunglasses and further caution normal sized adults from buying the child proportioned Rincon style sunglasses that Costa del Mar offers.
