I wouldn't want to have to put them on again. The slipper/velcro hybrid idea might work but in this instance I don't think it did. These shoes don't have enough stretch like a true slipper would to make entry easy enough, instead entry is a chore, and the tightness of the slipper/velcro design didn't really seem to boost the performance compared to the many true velcro shoes I've owned. There are a lot of great climbing shoes to choose from, I'd recommend that you keep shopping.
