I just got this little light. I didn't think I'd use it for much aside from a backup light. But, in the first week, I set it into a Velcro strap for an impromptu running beacon strapped around my wrist, a light to see the gas pumps when the lights were out in Yosemite and to make my way to my girlfriend's bed without having to turn on the overhead light when I finally got in at 11:30 PM.
It provides sufficient light when I need it, mostly because it's there, strapped to my backpack, when I need it. This light easily attaches to my 1" wide backpack strap, has a hole for a cord and the light disconnects easily from the mounting plate simply, but seems to be very secure.
