Beg pardon - the lining, like the rest of the jacket, is a polyester material, not nylon. But it is still smooth, shiny, and sleek. If the women's version is the same as the men's, the only fleece in the jacket's lining is the area around the neck and chin. But it is still a very warm jacket, and your shirt sleeves won't bunch up like it might with a fleece-lined jacket.

Ciaoamy - the lining is a smooth nylon, but it is insulated so the jacket is warm. From what I can tell, the lining of the women's version has an interesting quilted look that makes it a little different than most jackets out there.
