How on earth are people finding these comfortable?

Ow, ow, ow. According to the size chart, the Small should fit me, but these were painfully tight & really dug in at the waist. They also seemed short from the knees on up, but if I got 'em pulled up enough so they're not droopy drawers, then they were painful in the crotch, because of the seam that goes from front-center, down through the crotch area, and up to back-center -- and the seam is thick and NOT flatlock. Big design flaw in such expensive tights. With the seam like that, there was no point in my trying the Medium. I sent 'em back. The concept behind the tights seems good, but the execution of it is not. (Not when I tried them a year or two ago, anyway.)
