Bern Baker Hard Hat w/Knit Liner

Item #BRN0130 | 40 in Stock
5 Star Rating

Great Choice

By Ranked #346 - Helmets November 12, 2009

Just bought this helmet last season due to a bad head injury. I've got to say, im very impressed. Most helmets are heavy and uncomfortable, but not the Bern Baker Hard Hat. Not only does it save you from unnecessary brain damage, but it looks cool too.

If your short on money, buy this helmet in the skate version (doesn't come with knit liner) and wear a beanie under it. Costs around $40 for the skate version.

Honestly, it might be useful to have a certified helmet if I ever hit my head. Seems like every injury since has been to something other then my head. It's main purpose is to protect me from rocks if I slip in the fall line and to hold my headcam. haha. The Auger Pro-tec helmet would be a better fit for my big mountain riding anyway..

Colton, you had a brain injury and then bought a non-certified helmet? The Bern Baker will protect you if you slip and fall walking to the lifts but not if things go awry launching kickers in the park or riding with any exposure. You might want to consider upgrading a Pro-Tec B2 w/SXP foam. It is the only helmet that provides both multiple low impact protection, like the Bern, and meets the ASTM 2040 snow safety standard for high impact protection. Once you've had a concussion the next ones come easier and easier.
