Ranked #1572 - Men's Rain Jackets

this guy kept me bone dry during the maroon bells' monsoon season while doing the 4 pass loop, and for that I am grateful. i use this jacket far more often than i expected to, and believe it a great jacket for the price. the only complaints (and why 4 not 5 stars) is that the hood is quite small, and and DWR seems to be wearing off quickly. 6'2" 175 and the large fits well, maybe a bit baggy, but nice for layering underneath...

It doesn't claim "DWR" (durable water resistance), although from reading your review and those of others, it should. It claims waterproof. If it isn't waterproof, and can't maintain waterproofness for at least a year, it isn't telling the truth. It must be just a water resistant wind breaker. There are far too many of these false claims in the outdoor products market. We have to ignore what they claim and simply spend a lot of money, hoping our money can buy us safety from false claims. The product name is "Hurricane". Perhaps it should be "Significant Breeze".
