I think NRS always make high quality gear. These are no exception. They are thick neoprene to keep your hands nice and toasty. The snaps allow you to roll them up for days when it isn't that cold, and you are running really cold water. They have a rubber coating over the nuckles for a little more abrasion resistance. They also have a small pocket inside with a water proof zip bag for personal items, but I wouldn't use them. Loose your paddle, and loose your stuff! Well made, good design, and affordable.
