DAKINE Triangle Scraper

2 Star Rating

Hard to hold

By Ranked #139 - Cross Country Skiing November 4, 2009

I don't like this scraper. I find it very hard to hold. It's just too small. I prefer the larger rectangular scrapers. With any scraper you have to make sure they have half decent edge. I can't imagine using this thing will a dull edge.

I disagree - to me a tri scraper isn't hard to hold, but allows you to work more easily with the undulations of the base. Very few boards / skis are perfectly flat even when new or after stone grinding. A larger scraper will bridge over wax in low spots that will greatly prolong your brush work. Use a long scraper to get most of the wax off, then follow up with one of these, even adding some bend to it to get the wax out of the low spots.
