Shaped like a ski boot.

Beautiful boots. Super warm. Sadly, there were two bad points. There was something odd about the sole, like I was walking on the tread which sounds weird and feels equally so. Also, and this is why I returned them, they push you forward like ski boots do. Would not be comfortable for walking in.

That weird feeling in the sole is probably the frost plugs. It's insulation in the sole to keep the underside of your feet warm.
