Mountain Hardwear Spectre SL 20 Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down

Item #MHW1185 | 4 in Stock

Good Bag but a bit pricey

By Ranked #559 - 25 to 5 Degree Down Bags October 19, 2009

I purchased the bag from backcountry a couple of months ago before the price got raised. It is, without a doubt, the best sleeping bag i have ever used... but then again i have only had two. I just finished my first trip with the bag: four nights in the smokies with mins in the high 30's. The bag held up very well. i made the mistake of zipping it up all the way on the first night and woke up pretty swetty. From that point on it stayed half zipped. The design and quality of the bag is top notch. My only concern is the price of the bag. When you start getting into the $400 price range, there are many other higher quality bags made by companies such as Western Mountaineering and feathered friends. I did my research and this was my first choice baised of waterproofing and a discount i recieved. If i were to pay the full 400 or so i would definetly have gotten a Western Mountaineering. hope this helps :)
