CHINESE FOOT BINDING DOESN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO REEF FANNING'S

When a buddy of mine, who's been wearing Reef Fanning Blue Sandals for eons now, told me that he absolutely lived on them and totally loved them, I decided to buy a pair for myself.
When I placed my online order, I had no problems whatsoever and these sandals were delivered to me within a week, which pleasantly surprised me, as I was expecting their delivery in two to four weeks.
Then began the agony, as the pair that I got in my size (apparently they don't make 1/2 sizes) were so narrow and so damn tight on both feet that I just couldn't wear them in the house for long. They also had the other problem of chafing between my big toes and the next one on both feet.
I gave these sandals several more chances at redemption, but to no avail, as their fit on both feet remained the same, uncomfortably tight and just a tad painful at times.
I'm now in the process of returning these totally unused, but still functional for someone else, sandals to the Backcountry distribution center and have them issue a credit to my MasterCard.
It's unfortunate that one can't try these sandals on before buying them, as there's no substitute for an informed decision and, had that happened, I would have been better equipped to decide whether I wanted to buy them or not!
