Finally.

I've finally found a truly durable gator. What is the point of gators if they dont protect against crampon punctures?

Well: 1) It will still keep most snow, water, and mud out. 2) It will still keep the tops of your boots dry and/or cleaner. 3) It will still keep your lower legs warm. 4) I'd rather have the $90 gaiter take the hit than the $500 climbing bib!
