Ranked #374 - Snowboard Bindings
October 11, 2009
I recently upgraded from the Burton customs that I have been using for the last 5 years. The difference is amazing! These bindings are so responsive. At first I thought that the high back kinda looked a bit flimsy and I would have to make up for it by pulling more with my ankle but that is definitely is not the case. these have a great flexibility without losing any of the stability or board control. The straps hold tight without cutting off the circulation to your foot. I usually like to have my bindings cranked down to hold my foot in because I mainly ride big kickers and the pipe. I originally worried about the toe cup (I have hated them since they came out!) but this seems to be the perfect combination between the overzealous in front of the toe design that Burton has and the old over the toe design. It provides more response and stability than I ever thought possible. One other thing that caught my eye for innovation, the bolts that are used for the high back and for the ankle strap are completely enclosed and tool free! Great binding for park although I'm not a real mountain rider so I have no idea how they will perform out there.
