Great tent, but condensation is painful

I realize that a single wall tent is going to build condensation. There was a night in using this tent on a beach of the Mississippi river where I forgot to unzip the ceiling vents and the condensation was worse than ever. For me what I have found is that there will always be some level of condensation.
Overall I like the tent for all of the reasons listed above. It is easy to use, small, lightweight.
I have used the tent a dozen of times and the best part was that I got it for $99 at REI. I am wondering however if normal tents with a separate rainfly (like the marmot limelight) have condensation issues? Is this just because of the single wall or due all tents get wet from the inside? If someone could answer this question it would be greatly appreciated.
