I tested these the other day hiking and climbing for 7 hours and the rest of me was stiff and sore but not my feet. The bottom of my feet were well cushioned and protected from rocks and roots. I hardly felt them when I had to jump from one rock to another. Also, wonderful grip and of course, the top of these shoes are mesh so water can get in (okay with me) but let's the heat out too. Highly recommended!
