bought these in christchurch in new zealand , christmas 2004 i think. since then they have been round the world with me. Smart enough to go for a night on the town in sydney, comfy enough to hike in the tropics, or hill walk in scotland ive even ridden horses and camels wearing them. grippy enough for all day on a dive boat. easy to slip on and off - so great for anywhere in asia where you have to take your shoes off outside. I did 2 yrs backpacking and had only these and some hiking boots.back home in england I now keep them by the door, great for doing the garden or popping to the shop.
You can bung em in the washing machine, and even if you dont they will never smell.
