Not very happy with my new sticks

I'm a new user of poles, but have to say that they do not stay locked in position. They loosened up a couple of times on my hike up and down, just a 4k jaunt. I tightened them as much as possible but it was futile. Had to keep checking to make sure they were not going to collapse on me!! Oh well, my fault, I should have heeded to the advice of these reviews!!!
