This ski is FAT, Rockered and probably the most fun ski I've ever ridden. If you are a skier that likes groomers and carving, this is not the ski for you! But, if you are looking to advance your big mtn skills by straight-lining Backcountry lines and smearing powder with speed, you will be in love with the Kuro! This ski is for the really advanced, a big mtn skier that has no problems pointing it and committing themselves downhill. The Kuro is fairly stiff throughout, so you'll feel confident at high speeds... no feeling of a soft, folding, fore body, over the bars sensation.

lots of fun. Handles every thing ok, but really excels in the untracked powder. they require you to be very aggressive but you can put forward pressure on the tips even in the deep heavy stuff with out nose diving. They do get a little squirly on the hard pack and require some work to get on edge but they are the best powder ski i have ever used. More of a back country or Heli trip tool than any thing else. Great for the back bowls at Vail when is snows more than 10 inches. I ski the Volkl Mantra 177 for everything else (The Mantra is my favorite ski ever) I am 5'8 170 lbs and a strong skier who skis 90 days a year. I got the Kuro in a 185 and its perfect. If you are looking for a awesome big mountain powder ski the Kuro is it.
