Drop in replacement for my old PUR filter. Used extensively to filter out windblown "trail spice" on Rainier. Find clean snow, melt/boil with the ol MSR, cool pan in snow, filter into Nalgene's, repeat.

I bought my unit prior to my 2-week trek into Yosemite. It served me well along with 5 other buddies. As one from Hawaii, our streams can be challenging with frequent stagnant ponds. Here in 2011 I can expect to see some real outcomes.. Good unit and easily to store in packs. Jim Torio-Hawaii
