ok i'm no audiophile, but stuff just sounds GREAT outta these things with the bass boost on (it's adjustable). they definitely overcrank the bass on any song (rock, rap, classical, no genre is safe), but if you want some kickass tunes on the mountain or on the streets these are the first choice. the earcups are soft, the fit is nice and sound is isolated, and nobody can beat skullcandy style.
be ready to kill a aaa every coupla months though, because with no bass boost tunes are just kinda flat
