By Ranked #74 - Men's Ski Boots September 17, 2009

Like a loaded BMW, these boots are sick. I just got them delivered, and its September so I haven't had the chance to ski them, but I can tell they're quality. Loaded with features, and the 'what would be powerstrap' kicks ass... it employs technology from snowboard bindings, with a big (4-5") strap covering almost the entire shin, and ratcheting plastic strap so you can really crank it down if needed. the two other buckles are also very well placed, and you can feel them doing their job (holding your foot comfortably) when tightened. The boots are extremely light and very stiff. One of the little features I really like is the chain link clips to link up the boots when you take em off. Its just a really thoughful feature that speaks to the overall consideration they took when designing the boot. The liners and fit of the boot are very comfortable, so far (still haven't skied them). But know already that these boots will rock.

r u nuts. these are park oriented boots. if u think these are stiff, god knows how stiff the i.d. pros would be for you. these are the softest of the krypton line.

can u read? I said its september and I haven't skied them yet, and I'm not going to get a real sense of the stiffness from my apt. But, I swapped the interchangeable shell tongue out from the park to the freeride specific ones, and there was a considerable difference So no, you are wrong, douchenozzle... It is not a park oriented boot, it is a park specific OR a freeride specific boot, depending on what damn tongue piece you have in it, which makes this boot even slicker....

Quick question, you say they are extremely light. Can you giv e me an exact figure in lbs/kg? That's is the only thing that keeps me from getting some, I spoke to a few people and they said they are quite heavy after all. I actually can't believe that they are heavy by the way they are constructed. I wrote a mail to Dalbello, but they never came back to me and you can't find an exact number anywhere, not even on their website. Have size 43 Europe, guess thats about size 9 US. Thanks, sleepy Joe

they come with multiple tongues that have different stiffness ratings. The boot is one the most customizable boots on the market and is honestly amazing in all conditions. I HAVE NOT HAD SHIN BANG IN A YEAR BECAUSE OF THIS BOOT FOR PARK RATS. I ride park 60% of the time and the boot can handle anything. If it fits your foot correctly buy it because you will never be happier.
