I have learned the absolute hard way about sleeping bags in extreme conditions and fully trust Mountain Hardware sleeping bags. I have three kids that I started backpacking at age 4, 7 & 8. We backpack and camp where it is around 20 F at night and the Mountain Goat fully keeps my three kids warm. Two of my three kids are really petite girls who do not tolerate the cold very well. My three kids were raised in southern California. All three of my kids love their Mountain Goat bags and were fully keep warm at 20F and I am sure they would have been fine at 10 F. You cant go wrong with this bag and I do not say this lightly and I cherish my kids.
