I wear XL in all patagonia jackets and the XL in this fits fine. Very warm for the weight, folds into one of its own pockets. You can use this on summer nights over a tshirt or in the fall over a wool baselayer, even in the winter over a fleece and under a shell. So basically I just said you can use it any time of the year... get one.
