Great for warm weather hiking (or all year round if your feet stay hot like mine). These socks are long enough to peak out from my boots above my ankle but stay low enough to keep me clear of Squaresville.

I would definitely recommend them for any activity with a boot - no stench, plenty of comfort + support.
