This chair is great. Solidly built, easy to carry, easy to pack. I am a big man, and am not squeamish about plumping down into this chair around the fire, at the game, or just shooting the breeze with neighbors. Other chairs I feel comfortable with only one cheek on while I keep a hand on the ground ready for a collapse, not the ALPS chair. Buy it, you won't be disappointed for the price point.

im a bigger person myself and i also have worries about sitting in chairs made like this. im glad you found a chair you like and feel comfy in, but looking at this chair and thinking about sitting in it worries me. it just doesnt look sturdy enough to hold me. it took me awhile to find a good chair that i could take camping, but when i finally did i was so happy. you should check out the chair i bought myself about a year ago. i bet you would like it. its made by koolest products and its called the maxxdaddy chair. its made to suit our body type and its extremely comfortable.
