These bindings are awesome for freeriders. They are light, stiff, and comfy! So Ideal. The leather straps form wonderfully to the shape of your boot and don't create any pressure points like some other bindings I've owned. I was almost done with burton bindings after my last pair weighed so much, but I took a chance and tried these cause they matched my new Arbor Coda so nicely. Burton has made a lot of improvements in the last few years that have really stepped these bindings up. The FLAD (Forward Lean Adjuster) is now a tool-less knob that is easily adjusted on the fly, and the straps themselves are easily adjusted. The ratcheting device is solid on the top and bottom straps.

The cartel cap strap is a little different than the prior cap straps burton put out. This one looks like a regular strap but it has a notch in the middle, works much better.

These feel solid and high tech, I would say worth every dollar. Burton also has rad customer service, assuming backcountry.com doesn't take care of problems first.
