Gear Review
Great Tent for Sea Kayaking
By Chris Castaneda
Ranked #1353 - 3-Season Tents
August 10, 2009
Slept in this tent for a three-day kayaking expedition in Southeast Alaska (extremely wet rainforest region of Alaska). This tent was easy and quick to set up with fly and staked into the ground. Even commented on how incredibly easy/simple the fly was to put on. Slept two with lots of gear very well; would never try to squeeze three into this tent. Vestibule was large enough to keep our wet paddling gear safe and able to dry out. Was a bit concerned by how much screen there was at first (being in Alaska), but handled the 40-50 degree nights with ease and was quite comfortable by venting one of the fly's doors.
Also, this tent does have TWO doors... both on the front opening to the left and right (which is why this makes more sense as a two-person tent). Fly doors match the tent doors.
Bottom Line:
Pleasant roominess, comfortable sleeping even in wet, humid, and low-temp conditions.
