Best Gloves ever? Best Mittens ever?
By Kretzky
Ranked #445 - Ski Gloves
August 6, 2009
I'm not sure if these are the best gloves ever, or the best mittens ever? Maybe both.
I've tried a lot of different gloves skiing, none were as versitile, tough, and warm as the 3 fingers. I use these a lot patrolling and the extra finger lets me point at kids who are misbehaving on the slopes, can't do that with a mitten. Makes using a drill easier too. The leather palms have held up well, despite carrying around and using some rather large drill bits for getting through ice. My previous gloves weren't up to the same task, and the palms got torn up rather quickly.
Are they waterproof - no, I wouldn't suggest wearing them in a rainstorm, your hands will get wet. Get the XCR mitts for that. But who wants to ski when it's raining? I would buy these gloves again in a heartbeat.
