Why are all the manufactures dropping inseams that are 7-8 inches in length? Columbia just dropped their Snake River Shorts and replaced them with the insanely long Cascade Creek™ II shorts that have a 1 1/2 longer inseam.
Both these North Face shorts and Columbia's are worthless for outdoor sports! I don't like pockets down at my knees! And I like sun on my legs. These shorts might be good for your son keeping up appearances in the hood, but they are totally worthless for outdoor sports!
They lost my purchases.
