These are solid shoes so don't be fooled by my 3 star review. It is just that my previous Merrells were the Chameleons which were much more comfortable. These are a bit on the clunky side. But they worked great on a week long hiking trip I went on. They gave me solid traction in the mud and definitely kept the water out.
