Great cold weather baselayer
By Jason Lucero
Ranked #1116 - Men's Softshell Jackets

I have been using this jacket as my cold weather baselayer. The zipper helps in temperature regulation while I'm at camp, in the sack or on the trail. It is less comfortable when in my bag, but it's versatility if a nice trade-off. As it is rain and wind resistant, this works very well for me in the Sierras. I can wake up in it and be shielded from the mild cold, breezes and morning mists. It's good for chilly fogs or while hiking in the clouds. I think it's pretty damn good for a $75 SAC deal, but I would not buy it at $150.
