Used this system for several trip already in New Jersey including Split Rock Reservoir, Delaware River, and Island Beach State Park from the Clifton area. Did not loose any kayaks (two on top of a small crossover) while on both the Parkway and backcountry dirt roads. Make sure to use the included straps as they are key and extremely useful. After a few trips you can get the system down to about 10 minutes for putting it on your car with the kayaks if you have 2 people.
