Ditched the BD harness, got the Petzl hotness.

I *love* this harness. I'm 5'9", 140 pounds, 30" waist, enjoy long walks on the beach and I wear a Medium in the Hirundos (and in the Petzl Sama.)

The Hirundos is basically the Petzl Sama on a diet. Take the Sama, chop down the waist and leg loops, skinny out the belay-loop (while still meeting standard climbing harness strength requirements), skinny out the waist-strap and the speed-buckle, ditch the haul loop (but keep the 4 gear loops) and finally, turn the orange up to 11 and make the silver almost sparkly. Yes, "sparkly."

With that said, I love the Hirundos for everything except hour-long hang-dog or belay session. Its light weight and vented means you really won't notice it on during the day. Standard disclaimer applies: If you have really whopping thighs, then the legloops will be tight for the appropriately sized waist. The solution to that? Get the Adjama. :)
