Light, comfortable, functional - Awesome.

I *love* this harness. I'm 5'9", 140 pounds, 30" waist, enjoy long walks on the beach and I wear a Medium in the Sama (and in the Petzl Hirundos.)

I have this year's Sama and this year's Hirundos. They share the same Frame construction that lightens the harness, keeps things comfortable and provides great ventilation. I got the Sama after I had the Hirundos for a while because I wanted something that would be more comfortable for long project-hangdogging or belaying sessions. It fits that bill perfectly.

My sizing experience echos a lot of people's here: I wear the waist-strap pulled through the speed buckle until the buckle is barely touching the other side of the waist-padding. That way, the harness is symmetrical side to side, so my gearloops aren't shifted to one side at all.

With that fit, the leg loops feel snug when you first pull the harness on, but your awareness of the legloops disappears 2 minutes later (that means they fit perfectly.) If you've got Clydesdale thighs, you'll want to go for the adjustable legloops on the Adjama harness.

I've hangdogged in this, taken big whippers, caught big whippers, belayed someone for 60 minutes on a 9 bolt sport route (looking at you, Andy), worn it all day then gotten half-way back to the car before I remembered I had it on. I *never* got that level of comfort with the Black Diamond harness I used to have, honestly.
