Picked this up on steepandcheap for 50 or 60% off. I am a windsurfer and use it as a dry top/spray jacket over a long bottom short sleeve sprint suit (thin wet suit).

I have worn it when the water tempt was about 50 and the air temp was somewhere between 40 and 50 (but it was also windy so it would have felt colder). It did a great job in those conditions. I am an advanced sailor so I don't spend much time in the water. When I was not in the water or in the water for only a short period of time the jacket worked great. When I was in the water for a long period of time (equipment failure and had to swim my gear in), water did come in through the bottom. Taht is to be expected though. Water came in mostly when I moved around a lot letting water in through the bottom.

I also wore the top the next day when it was about 60 with no wind and there was a lot of pumping for racing. In this situation the jacket breathed very well and I was much more comfortable than the other sailors who were in long sleeve wetsuits/drysuits.

The neck/wrist gaskets are tight, but that is why it keeps water out well. It is slightly uncomfortable but I really didn't notice it once I was on the water. I'm 6'3" and 220 pounds so I'm maybe slightly bigger than average at the wrist/neck.

Seems to be constructed pretty well in comparison to some other wetsuits/drysuits I have seen.

If you can get it at the price I got it at, go for it. I would guess that it is great for paddling.
