I was hesitant to depart from my love of Salomon's gnarly GTX footwear, but I wanted a more protective trail shoe... plus I wanted the ability to stomp in bigger puddles.

Still 100% waterproof after 3 mos, still super comfy. Some peeps complained a/b stiffness at first- I say they are pansies- these babies felt sweet from the get-go. I even made an emergency 2-mi dash to a trailhead right after getting them and no blisters at all. Heavy enough that I wouldn't want to do that again though. Only SLIGHT downside.

Bottom line: Yes, please.
